Gareth Bale aims to boost Tottenham’s Champions League hopes at the expense of local rivals Arsenal this Sunday.

The Welsh winger is in the form of his life having scored eight goals in his last six Premier League games and will hopefully have Wenger’s men quaking in their boots come Sunday afternoon.

Bale is keen to avenge the embarrasing 5-2 defeat we suffered in the reverse fixture at the Emirates when Emmanuel Adebayor was sent off, leaving us to play the majority of the match with ten men.

With us four points ahead, it’s essential we come out of this fixture with a positive result.

“It’s one we want to win,” Bale told the press.

“We started well last time and the sending-off was a problem. We want to rectify that score now and hopefully get the three points.

“We go into the game full of confidence, looking for three points to boost our hopes of getting into the Champions League.

“It’s massive. We know how big it is – not just for us but for the fans.”
