Tottenham’s out of favour winger David Bentley is once again being linked with a loan move to Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
The 28-year-old former England international enjoyed the best spell of his career at Ewood Park and ended up costing us £15million in July 2008 when he signed for Spurs.
We reported last month that Blackburn wanted to bring Bentley back to the club. One issue seems to be that Bentley commands a massive £50,000-a-week in wages which has put off potential suitors.
It does look as if whatever happens, Bentley’s time at the Lane is over – his contract due to expire in the summer.
