“Big game Wednesday” – Harry Kane switches his focus to Liverpool after Palace point

Harry Kane took to Twitter after he found the back of the net against Crystal Palace yesterday afternoon but frustratingly could not help his side to take all three points away from Selhurst Park.

Kane admitted that he was gutted with the result which saw Spurs fail to extend their advantage at the top of the Premier League table.

With a mouthwatering top of the table clash against Liverpool taking place on Wednesday night, Kane referenced the magnitude of the encounter at Anfield which could see Spurs take a three-point advantage over Jurgen Klopp’s champions.

Liverpool also baulked at the opportunity to overtake Tottenham when they could only muster a 1-1 draw against newcomers Fulham.

The 27-year-old and Son Heung-min have now combined for 12 goals in the Premier League this season – only Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton in 1994-95 have linked up for more in a single season in the competition (13).

Spurs fans will certainly be hoping that they can condemn Liverpool to a rare defeat on their own turf to send out a marker of just how genuine their title credentials are.
