Tottenham have been dealt a blow with the news that Sandro has undergone knee surgery.
The Brazilian midfielder picked up the injury during the first half of the 0-0 draw against QPR on Loftus Road on Saturday.
Spurs held back on revealing exactly what was discovered during the operation and instead have opted to wait a few days before giving a prognosis.
A statement on the Spurs site read: “Sandro has undergone knee surgery following the injury that forced his substitution against QPR at the weekend.
“The midfielder’s recovery schedule will be assessed over the next few days.”
All seemed fine when AVB said after the game that he expected Sandro to be fit for the visit of Manchester United on Sunday. Instead it will be Scott Parker who will line up in midfield to face Fergie’s men, not a bad replacement eh?
