Brazilian prodigy on the radar of Tottenham’s scouting network

Tottenham Hotspur are among a host of clubs who are tracking 18-year-old attacking midfielder Bruno Roberto.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City are also monitoring the progress of the Brazilian who has just broken into the first team at Atletico Mineiro.

The player has been tipped as the next big star to come out of Brazil, following in the footsteps of Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus.

Tottenham have previous success of scouting young South American talent having brought Juan Foyth to the club from Argentine outfit Estudiantes on five-year deal last year for a reported £8million (BBC) with Roberto the latest name to make the scouting shortlist.

Foyth has come to prominence at Spurs this season having made his Premier League debut at Wolves, followed by an impressive display at Crystal Palace where he scored the only goal of the game.

He has since gone on to win his first senior cap for Argentina, where he was named Man of the Match in the 2-0 win against Mexico.
