Business as usual for the Tottenham players this morning despite coronavirus pandemic

The Tottenham Hotspur first team squad have been training as normal at their Hotspur Way training facility this morning.

Jose Mourinho’s side were being put through their paces ahead of the top flight match against Manchester United on Sunday in North London before the Premier League announced that they are suspending the competition until April 4th following medical advice due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A number of other Premier League clubs have been affected by the virus including North London rivals Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea and Leicester City (Metro) but Spurs were still able to hold a session this morning.

Football journalist Alasdair Gold confirmed on Twitter that the session had gone ahead and the club now face decisions on how to operate over the next few weeks in relation to the pandemic which has seen Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi both test positive for Covid-19 (BBC).
