Jack Roles is continuing to impress while on his loan spell with League Two side Cambridge United.
Roles was once again on target when he scored his side’s second goal in their 4-0 demolition of Exeter City at the Abbey Stadium yesterday afternoon.
The 20-year-old took his tally to three for the season after slotting home off the post with a shot from the edge of the box.
He came up through the ranks within our Academy system and was top scorer for our Development Squad last season with 13 goals in all competitions, in addition to scoring two goals for our Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League.
Roles was also given the opportunity to feature by Mauricio Pochettino during the club’s pre-season tour of the Far East along with an appearance in the Audi Cup where he scored an important penalty in the shoot out against Bayern Munich which left the Spurs boss nodding in approval.
His loan spell is set to end in January and it remains to be seen whether the U’s will look to attempt to extend the deal.
Please come back to Tottenham Jack, we need you
