“Career finisher” – Micky Hazard was not impressed by what he saw during Spurs v Brentford match

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Micky Hazard took to Twitter last night to vent his disgust after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was on the receiving end of a strong challenge by Brentford’s Josh Dasilva.

Both players went to contest the ball which saw Dasilva dive two-footed into the challenge, going over the top of the ball with his studs making clear contact with the left shin of the Dane.

Referee Mike Dean was advised by VAR to review the tackle on his pitch side monitor and showed Da Silva, who began his career at Arsenal a straight red card.

Hojbjerg was left with a lot of blood on his shin and a nasty-looking wound which saw Jose Mourinho refuse to allow his midfielder back onto the pitch following treatment and instead replaced him with Japhet Tanganga with just four minutes remaining.

Hazard was furious with what he had witnessed and described the foul as a career finisher.
