Another central defender linked with Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are today being linked with another central defender after it appears that any move for Juan Foyth is now dead in the water.

We have continually been linked with a move for the young Argentine defender over the past few weeks, but PSG are apparently willing to meet Estudiantes’ valuation with Spurs unprepared to do so in typical Levy fashion.

Instead, we are now rumoured to be interested in Dinamo Zagreb and Croatia defender Filip Benković according to the Sunday People.

Zagreb value the 20-year-old in the region of £13.5million – which is more than Spurs were prepared to pay for Foyth if you can get your head around that one!

Benković is also wanted by Inter Milan, but the player is said to favour a move to the Premier League and want to play for a club in the Champions League.

Kevin Wimmer is expected to depart Tottenham, but only when the club can finally manage to agree a deal for a replacement.

Should Spurs be focusing on a central defender, or should our priorities lie elsewhere?
