Cesc Fabregas is involved in Twitter spat with Graham Roberts; makes Spurs trophy jibe

Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas became embroiled in a heated Twitter exchange with former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts.

Fabregas had taken to Twitter to ask whether supporters would you rather get to the Champions League final and be a runner up or win the Europa League.

Roberts’ reply questioning how much game time Fabregas was getting at Monaco certainly seemed to hit a nerve with the ex-Chelsea midfielder claiming that he had no idea who Roberts was and also took the opportunity to state that Spurs will once again finish the season without any silverware.

Fabregas was brought to Monaco by former boss Thierry Henry and has struggled to hold down a regular first team place, especially since the ex-Arsenal man’s departure as manager.

Tottenham’s last taste of success came eleven years ago when Juande Ramos’ side beat Chelsea 2-1 after extra time following a Jonathan Woodgate header.

Here’s how the Tweets unfolded between the pair.
