Supporters have this afternoon been reacting to the latest announcement from Tottenham Hotspur regarding the new stadium.
The club have confirmed that the Premier League fixture against Manchester United on 13 January will be held at Wembley, as the club continues to wait for a safety certificate to be awarded.
The stadium was due to open on September 15th for the visit of Liverpool, but delays have meant that home fixtures have had to be played at the national stadium, with an agreement in place to host matches there for the remainer of the season if required.
Spurs confirmed that they hope to update supporters further after they receive an update from contractors in the week beginning January 7th.
The news has been met with frustration from some Spurs fans, especially season ticket holders who have paid large sums of money on the promise of seeing their side play at the new stadium yet still have to put up with trips to Wembley.
Stop stringing us along, just say next season and do refunds etc

Hold off till next season now. Moving in, 3/4 of the way through the season kills the ‘event’.

Well fuck me, that was so unexpected. The more I go to Wembley it just becomes a bigger shit hole that’s costing I fucking fortune. By the end of the season we’ll be down to a bumper 15,000 crowd.
Jingle fucking bells
