Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the club have bee awarded a place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Tottenham’s third round tie against Leyton Orient was unable to go ahead on Tuesday evening as planned after 17 players at the League Two outfit tested positive for COVID-19 (Daily Mail).
Orient were desperate for the game to go ahead at a later date partly due to the fact that they would have netted around £150,000 in revenue with the game scheduled for live television coverage by Sky Sports.
The EFL confirmed in a statement that Orient must forfeit the tie having been unable to complete the fixture, in line with the rules.
Tottenham will now face a London derby in the next round of the competition with Jose Mourinho’s former employers, Chelsea making the trip to N17.
Here is how some fans reacted to the news.

The only possible outcome really. Sending best wishes to everyone affected at Orient, and thanks to our Club and to our supporters for everything they’re doing to support @JE3Foundation.

I hope we will give them the share of TV money they would’ve received. Leyton Orient need it much more than we do
