Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the news that Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff have signed new five-year contract extensions at the club.
Elements of the media had been trying to make up rumours that Pochettino could have been on his way to Chelsea or Real Madrid, but has once again shown his loyalty by putting pen to paper on a new deal.
Pochettino joined the club in 2014 from Southampton and has delivered Premier League finishes of fifth, third, second and third, ensuring Champions League football for three years in a row.
Our third place finish this season was particularly impressive given the spending of their top-four rivals and the fact we played the whole season away from home.
Here’s some reaction from your fellow Spurs fans.
This was the moment I knew Poch loved our club just as much as the supporters do. He was never leaving. pic.twitter.com/iBHdd3ffAh

Mauricio Pochettino signs a new contract for Spurs? But @neilashton_ said he was going to Chelsea? Oh. One's an honourable, professional, man, the other's a lying sack of shit, pretending to be a journalist. #COYS

Oh well Chelsea I'm not sure you ever had a chance of getting Pochettino as the man clearly knows where the better players are ??? #COYS A manager would only depart to go to a better club why take a backward step?

J'y suis, j'y reste!

Mauricio Pochettino has signed a new deal to 2023. Puts to bed all the conspiracy theorists that he was off to Chelsea or Real Madrid. Perhaps they’ll find something positive to say now ?
