Christian Eriksen’s agent speaks about playmaker’s future at Tottenham

Christian Eriksen’s agent has once again spoken about the playmaker’s future at Tottenham Hotspur.

Eriksen is enjoying another impressive season in North London, having scored seven goals and provided 12 assists in 33 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in all competitions.

The Dane is out of contract at the end of next season and has yet to agree to a contract extension.

His agent refused to comment specifically on any particular transfer rumour, with the 27-year-old having been linked with potential moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona (AS).

Eriksen has played a pivotal part in Pochettino’s blueprint to turn Tottenham into regulars in the Champions League while also beginning to challenge for major honours and would represent a huge loss if he was to leave.

Football transfer expert Ian McGarry has previously claimed that the former Ajax man has rejected three separate new contract offers including one worth £110,000 a week (Transfer Window Podcast).

His agent Martin Schoots told ESPN FC: “Christian only wants to focus himself on football,”

“Besides his technical, tactical and athletic skills, also this attitude has contributed over the years to his impressive transformation from world class talent to world class player.

“At this moment I would prefer not to join the speculations about contracts and transfers.”
