Club president releases encouraging transfer update on two players linked with Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are set to spend this summer in a bid to improve their squad in line with Mauricio Pochettino’s aim of taking the club to the next level.

A whole host of players from across the world have already been linked with a move to North London despite the transfer window having only recently opened.

One of the most frequent names to be tipped to be on Tottenham’s radar is Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele, with French outlet L’Equipe, having previously reported that Tottenham have already made a provisional contract offer for the midfielder.

His team-mate Nabil Fekir, was on the verge of a move to Liverpool before last summer’s World Cup only for the deal to collapse at the final hour (The Mirror) and has since been linked with a switch to Tottenham as a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen (Le Parisien).

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed that three players will depart the Ligue 1 side this summer, which includes Fekir. While Ndombele is not mentioned by name, he is expected to be one of the other two departures.

“We will work on making signings. We are going to try to lose as few players as possible,” Aulas said, as reported by Get French Football News.
