Confirmed Line Up: Spurs vs Liverpool; academy player handed PL debut

Jose Mourinho has named his Tottenham Hotspur side which will take to the field against Liverpool this evening.

The big news is that Mourinho has decided to hand a Premier League debut to central defender Japhet Tanganga.

Jurgen Klopp’s side arrive in North London having avoided defeat in the Premier League this season.

While three points for the visitors will take them a step closer to their first top flight title since 1989/90, Spurs desperately need the victory to get their hopes of a top four finish and another season of Champions League football back on track.

Mourinho is without the services of Harry Kane, Tanguy Ndombele, Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies and Moussa Sissoko for the encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Defensively, Spurs will have to show considerable improvement to keep Liverpool at bay. The Reds have scored in 29 consecutive matches while Spurs have only managed to keep two clean sheets in 21 Premier League matches this season.

This is who features for Spurs this evening:

Tottenham: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Tanganga, Alderweireld (C), Sanchez, Rose, Winks, Eriksen, Dele, Lucas, Son.

Subs: Vorm, Vertonghen, Sessegnon, Dier, Skipp, Lamela, Lo Celso
