Confirmed Line Up: Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley

Jose Mourinho has named his Tottenham Hotspur side which will face Burnley this afternoon in the Premier League.

Both sides head into the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having tasted defeat in their midweek matches at the hands of Manchester United and Manchester City, respectively.

One area which Mourinho must quickly address is the defence, Spurs have conceded twice in each of the Portuguese’s first four matches in charge in all competitions. They haven’t conceded two or more goals in five consecutive games since February 2004 under David Pleat.

Tottenham have won seven of their last eight home games against Burnley in all competitions (D1) since a 1-4 defeat in the League Cup in January 1983 and will be looking for another win to try and close the gap on the top four.

Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Ben Davies and Erik Lamela all miss out through injury (Spurs official).

This is who starts for Spurs this afternoon:

Tottenham Hotspur: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Dier, Sissoko, Dele, Son, Lucas, Kane (C).

Subs: Whiteman, Rose, Sessegnon, Skipp, Eriksen, Lo Celso, Parrott
