Could Spurs be set to sign Champions League winner?

The agent of Yaya Toure has hinted that the former Manchester City player is about to sign for a club based in London.

Toure left the Premier League champions at the end of last season which ended an eight-year stint with City.

His agent, Dimitry Seluk has posted a cryptic message on Twiter regarding the future of the player, but did confirm that he would not be moving to Crystal Palace or West Ham United. In fact, Seluk absolutely destroyed West Ham by saying “it’s not West Ham 100%. Yaya is a champion. The last place is not for him.”

Back in May, Seluk told Sky Sports that such was Toure’s desire to still play his football in the Premier League, that he would pay back half of his wages if his new club were not pleased with his efforts.

“Yaya is fit and desperate to prove he’s still the best central midfielder in the Premier League,” Seluk said.

“Ivory Coast will not be in Russia for the World Cup and next season he will be fit, rested and stronger than ever.

“He’s happy to accept a one-year deal to stay in England. And if his club are not satisfied with his performances, he will pay back half his wages, or the club can cancel his contract immediately, with no compensation.”

Fulham are likely to be the front runners for his signature, but with the hint that “is a champion”. Could he be on his way to Tottenham, or are Arsenal or Chelsea a more likely destination?
