Darren Bent claims player has to remind people of his talent following Bale arrival

Darren Bent has claimed that Heung-min Son is becoming somewhat of a forgotten man at Tottenham Hotspur.

Harry Kane has always attracted the headlines within the Tottenham squad, but with the arrival of Gareth Bale, Bent believes that Son will be keen to remind people of his contribution and talent.

The South Korean has enjoyed an impressive start to the new campaign having scored seven goals in six games in all competitions to date (transfermarkt).

The Kane and Son combination has proven to be particularly effective in recent games having enjoyed particular success against Southampton where Kane turned provider for all of Son’s four goals and the pair also combined well during the 6-1 thrashing at Manchester United last weekend.

Bale is yet to take to the field in his second spell in North London having suffered a knee issue while on international duty with Wales prior to sealing his loan switch from Real Madrid.

Bent told Sky Sports News (06/10/20 at 8:25 am): “I think he has had to not remind people, but go listen ‘I know Gareth Bale is coming in and he’s a world-class player but don’t forget about me. I am a good player as well’.

“Harry Kane, so unselfish. He is willing to sacrifice his goals to set up his teammates. When you have Bale one side and Son the other then that is a scary front three.”
