Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter after the team line up was announced for tonight’s London derby against Chelsea.
There was the surprise exclusion of the reliable Jan Vertonghen from the match day squad, especially since he was not mentioned as being injured during yesterday’s pre-match press conference.
Mauricio Pochettino has made four changes to his starting line up from the one which lost at Burnley on Saturday.
Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies come in for Serge Aurier and Danny Rose in the left-back positions, Davinson Sanchez replaces the absent Jan Vertonghen in the heart of the defence with the manager deciding
to revert to a back four.
There is also change further up the field with Erik Lamela who gets a start.
Tottenham have won three of their last four Premier League games against Chelsea (L1), as many as they had in their previous 20 against them (W3 D9 L8).
Here is how some Spurs fans reacted to the team news.

Expecting Rose, Lucas and Llorente to come on early in the second half… to rest players for Arsenal.

This rotating the back 4 constantly is so stupid! Like we need to rest our best players when we’ve hardly no games in March
