Dele Alli pinpoints two key things Spurs have been working on in Barcelona

Up until last weekend, Tottenham Hotspur had been without the services of Dele Alli since he suffered a left hamstring strain in the 2-1 win against Fulham in mid-January.

Despite the disappointing defeat against Southampton, Dele’s return saw him provide the assist for Harry Kane’s goal and certainly gives Spurs a creative outlet which they have desperately missed in recent weeks.

The midfielder spent some time rehabilitating from his injury in the warmer climate of Dubai and admitted that it is always a difficult time to be sidelined when he could only watch on from a distance.

Spurs are currently on a run of four Premier League matches without victory and jetted off to Barcelona for a training camp following the last outing at St Mary’s.

Dele pinpointed the need for the Spurs players to work on their chemistry and morale during their break, before they return to top flight action with a trip to Liverpool on March 31st.

“We’ve got to try to finish the season as strongly as we can,” he told the Spurs official site.

“The (Barcelona) trip has been good. It’s been great to all get together, keep working and train hard, just getting the team chemistry and morale back up again.

“Personally, I want to try to help the team as much as possible, get some goals and assists and try to keep up some good form.

“As a team we have to turn it around, we can’t dwell on the recent results too much – we have to try to fix what’s gone wrong in the last few games and finish the season as strongly as we can.”
