Dele Alli proved the doubters wrong last night with an impressive performance in the 3-2 victory against Ajax.
The midfielder has come under criticism for his performances this season despite having to play more of a deeper role for the majority of matches in a more unfamiliar deeper role due to the loss of Mousa Dembele and the among of injuries sustained to the likes of Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama.
However, the former MK Dons man operated in more of an attacking role in Amsterdam and provided the crucial assist for Lucas Moura’s sensational 95th minute goal which booked the club’s place in the Champions League final for the first time in history.
Dele took to Twitter last night to thank the travelling Spurs fans and those around the world for their wonderful support whilst also praising the character of his team mates to come back from 3-0 down on aggregate.
