Dele Alli takes to Twitter for the first time after being assaulted at knifepoint

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has taken to Twitter after being the victim of a robbery at his house (Daily Mail).

The 24-year-old was held at knifepoint by two male robbers during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

There were five people present at the property in Barnet including Dele’s girlfriend, brother Harry Hickford, his partner and a friend; all are said to have been left shaken by the criminal act.

The intruders reportedly entered through the back of the property and were wielding knives with the England international suffering a minor facial injury with the thieves making off with watches and jewellery.

The incident was reported to the police and CCTV footage is being analysed with no arrests made to date.

Dele thanked everyone for their well-wishes following the incident which he described as a horrible experience.
