Dennis Cirkin takes to Instagram after being named in the Spurs squad for the first time

Jose Mourinho has already given two academy players game time this season with both Troy Parrott and Japhet Tanganga having featured for the first team.

Parrott had a late cameo during the Premier League win against Burnley in December while Tanganga has played both of the club’s last two fixtures and has caught the eye.

Mourinho decided to name 17-year-old left-back Dennis Cirkin in his squad for Tuesday night’s FA Cup third round replay against Middlesbrough.

Whilst the youngster did not manage to get onto the field of play, he took to Instagram to share his thoughts on his experience of being named on the bench among the likes of Heung-min Son, Dele Alli, Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth.

Cirkin has been training with the first team during Mourinho’s first few weeks at the club with the head coach singling out the full-back for special praise after signing his first professional contract in North London (Football.London).
