Diarra snub alerts Spurs and Man Utd

Jose Mourinho’s decision to leave midfielder Lassana Diarra out of Real Madrid’s pre-season tour of the United States could alert Manchester United and Tottenham.

That is what is being reported in today’s Metro.  The former Portsmouth midfielder had set his heart on staying with the Spanish giants but may be forced to reconsider his future after Mourinho’s decision.

Madrid value Diarra at £18million which is said to be putting Spurs boss Harry Redknappp off making an approach for the player he took to Portsmouth.  Manchester United are also said to be keen on the French international.

It is believed the Spanish club are now prepared to negotiate on the transfer fee.  Spurs would first have to sell Wilson Palacios who is attracting interest from Italy.
