Dortmund boss speaks about punishing Sancho

Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre has revealed that he is yet to decide on whether to punish Jadon Sancho.

Dortmund were delayed in flying to London on Tuesday for their Champions League clash with Tottenham after the winger forgot to take his passport to the airport.

The player had to rush home red-faced to collect the document and return to the airport.

Sancho has scored eight goals and contributed 11 assists in all competitions this season for the Bundesliga leaders.

If Sancho features against Spurs this evening, it will be the first time he has played a competitive match in England since making the switch from Manchester City in 2017.

Dortmund are already without Marco Reus with a thigh problem, while right-back Lukasz Piszczek is out with a heel injury, stand-in centre-back Julian Weigl has flu and striker Paco Alcacer is sidelined by a shoulder injury.

Spurs will once again be without Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Favre told SportsMax when asked if he will punish Sancho: “We’ll see. We will talk about this between us internally.”
