Double award nomination for Spurs pair

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and head coach Jose Mourinho have both received respective Premier League award nominations for their efforts in the month of July.

Following a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Sheffield United, Mourinho guided his side to a six-match unbeaten run at the end of the campaign to help secure the North Londoners place in next season’s Europa League after pipping Wolves to sixth place on the final day of the season.

Mourinho is up against Pep Guardiola, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, David Moyes and Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Pivotal to Tottenham’s unbeaten run was star striker Harry Kane. The 27-year-old scored six top flight goals in July which included braces against Newcastle United and Leicester City along with efforts against Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.
