“Erik effing Lamela” – Some Spurs fans share three word match reports after Watford win

Dele Alli enjoyed the perfect Milton Keynes homecoming as he scored the winning penalty that sent Tottenham past Watford in the Carabao Cup, but it wasn’t plain sailing for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Isaac Success put Watford ahead just 40 seconds into second half. Tottenham rallied back in the final nine minutes of the match with goals from Dele and a neat chip by Erik Lamela made it 2-1 before former Spur Etienne Capoue equalised in the dying embers.

Success and Will Hughes scored for the Hornets in the shootout but Spurs goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga denied Capoue and Domingos Quina to steal some of the limelight from Dele.

Son Heung-min, Lamela and Fernando Llorente netted Tottenham’s opening three penalties before Dele rounded off a night to remember.

Some Tottenham fans have been taking to Twitter to share their three-word match reports with us.

Win's a win.
