Established Spurs star heading for summer exit?

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele could be heading for the exit this summer.

According to the Daily Mirror, Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to sell the 30-year-old Belgian international and new contract talks has failed to progress.

Dembele has been with Spurs since joining from Fulham for £15milllion in August 2012 and will just have twelve months to run on his existing deal at the end of this season.

It would be hugely frustrating if Spurs lost two established and experienced players in Dembele and Alderweireld this summer. While Dembele has struggled with injuries, his performance away to Juventus should be proof enough that we need to keep hold of him.

The report claims that Tottenham have already began to eye potential replacements with Barcelona’s Andre Gomes (we are linked with him every transfer window) and Atalanta’s Bryan Cristante shortlisted as possibilities.

Dembele has been heavily linked with a move to China in the past and contract talks are said to be on hold until after the World Cup.
