Everton priced out of Kranjcar deal

Niko Kranjcar

Everton are set to miss out on Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar because the club cannot afford the £3m asking price for the Croatian international.

Kranjcar was wanted by David Moyes on loan but Kranjcar would prefer a permanent move after falling out of favout at White Hart Lane.

Bayern Munich and Liverpool are both also being linked with a move for the former Portsmouth player.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. I’m a bit baffled by this story, not because Everton don’t have 3m to spend (which is slightly odd anyway) but because someone has valued Krancjar at 3m?! I know we only paid a similar amount to Portsmouth but we absolutely nicked him at that price because his contract was running out. In this case he has plenty of time left on his contract, he’s a top class international who is only being kept out of the side by arguable the most in form player in Europe! On that hand I’m sure the 3m is a typo…surely it should be 13m or at the very least similar values mooted for Keane and Bentley of 8m.

  2. More than 3 million but, not 13 million! He's got proven prem experience which goes miles when buying/selling so should be about 5 – 6 million. Bayern would be a good move for him, Liverpool would be a disaster considering Roy H could be out of a job soon…….

  3. when i first read the story my exact response was "3 million??? hahahahaha" then scrolled down at the comments and saw 3 people shared the same reaction .. conclusion: pointless article
