Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Real Madrid have offered Manchester United the opportunity to sign Sergio Reguilon.
Romano revealed only last week that the left-back had already been offered to both Tottenham Hotspur and North London rivals Arsenal and with Chelsea before they signed Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell (Last Word on Spurs).
The 23-year-old was named in the La Liga team of the year last season after a successful spell on loan with fellow Spanish side Sevilla, where he also won the Europa League.
Football.London have previously claimed that Jose Mourinho does not see the left-bacl position as a priority in the transfer market this summer.
The Portuguese is said to be happy with Ben Davies as his first-choice defensive option and considers Ryan Sessegnon, Japhet Tanganga, and Dennis Cirkin as capable alternatives if needed to be called upon.
Spurs have already been active in the market this summer having already signed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty.
Sergio Reguilón has been offered to Man United. The board and Ole are considering him as an ‘option’. They’re gonna decide soon. Also Sevilla have asked to have him back on loan from Real Madrid. The race is still on [also for other clubs]. ? #MUFC #RealMadrid #transfers
