Tottenham Hotspur needed a win today against Bournemouth to secure a top-four place for another season, ahead of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
However, after Heung-mon Son and Juan Foyth both saw red, a nine-man Tottenham struggled to hold on to a point, and eventually succumbed to an injury-time Nathan Ake header from a corner.
Spurs have now two huge games left to play starting with Wednesday night in the Champions League semi final second leg against Ajax, followed by the final Premier League game of the season at home to Everton.

Failing to win today puts Tottenham's top four hopes in jeopardy, as they give Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man United the chance to gain ground this weekend. Chelsea take on Watford tomorrow afternoon, with the chance to go above Spurs into third. Arsenal can close the gap to just one point if they beat Brighton at home, and Man United can go two points behind Tottenham if they beat Huddersfield away. It could become all or nothing for Spurs against Everton.
