Five things we learned from the loss to Liverpool

In what should have been the opening game at Tottenham’s brand new 62,000 seat stadium, Spurs stuttered to a 2-1 loss against Liverpool at Wembley today.

The defeat continues a run of sub par and tired-looking performances this season, including the three points dropped away to Watford last time out.

We look at five things we learned from the Liverpool game.

Something isn't quite right at the moment for Tottenham, whether it's rustiness, fatigue, or the distractions of stadium delays, they look far from themselves.

The likes of Kane, Eriksen, Dembele, Dier and Trippier were all extremely sloppy in possession today, and never looked up for tough test at hand.

Loose balls, mistakes, and a lack of creativity plagued Spurs' performance, and not for the first time this season.

Pochettino will be hoping that the problems are fixable, as if it's down to fatigue, you would think that levels are only going to drop further as the season continues.
