Jack Pitt-Brooke who us a football journalist for The Independent has taken to Twitter to claim that he has heard that Harry Kane will start ahead of Lucas Moura for Tottenham Hotspur in tonight’s Champions League final against Liverpool.
Kane, 25, suffered “significant lateral ligament” damage to his left ankle when he slipped in the quarter-final first leg against Manchester City on 9 April.
Kane has scored 24 goals in all competitions for Tottenham this season, despite missing six weeks in January and February with damaged ligaments in the same ankle.
He also missed a month of last season with a similar injury and endured separate absences of six and four weeks during the 2016-17 campaign.
However it looks he is set to start this evening with Moura, the hat-trick hero from the semi-final somewhat unlucky to drop down to the bench.
Kane will be looking to return to action and help fire Spurs to their first ever Champions League title.
