Former Leeds United left-back Ian Harte has taken to Twitter to claim that highly rated Jack Clarke will not be leaving the club this month.
Harte is now the agent of the 18-year-old and has squashed speculation that he could have been set to depart Elland Road before the transfer window closed at 11pm tomorrow evening.
Tottenham Hotspur had been credited with interest in the player who has scored twice in his 11 Championship appearances this season (Sky Sports).
Instead, Harte insisted that Clarke will instead focus in trying to help Leeds return to the Premier League.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side currently sit top of the Championship and are three points ahead of second-placed Norwich City.
Tottenham have been linked with a host of players during the month but are yet to bring in any fresh faces. The last signing to arrive at Tottenham was Lucas Moura from PSG, 364 days ago.
Mauricio Pochettino admitted yesterday that he no longer expects Tottenham to sign anyone this month, despite being optimistic just a few days ago (talkSPORT).
