Former Spur praises Christian Eriksen’s milestone goal

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Darren Anderton took to Twitter during the win against Cardiff City to praise Christian Eriksen.

The Dane doubled Tottenham’s advantage on twelve minutes after Harry Kane had earlier broken the deadlock in the third minute.

Eriksen’s goal summed up how cool he is on the ball. After receiving a pass from Heung-min Son and no Cardiff players showing an appetite to close him down, he took a few touches before cleverly slotting the ball beyond the helpless Neil Etheridge.

It was a milestone goal for Eriksen having now been directly involved in 100 Premier League goals for Spurs by the way of 45 goals and 55 assists since he joined the club from Ajax in 2013.

Anderton was full of admiration of how Eriksen managed to trick the Cardiff keeper by putting the ball into the net by his near post.

The goal was Eriksen’s fourth in the league this season.
