Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are interested in signing Tottenham Under-18s striker Reo Griffiths, according to
The 17-year-old has scored 33 goals this season and could walk away from the club this summer, unless a new deal is agreed.
Leipzig’s head of recruitment is none other than Paul Mitchell, who was formerly with Spurs between 2014 and 2017. Mitchell has seen first hand the talent which the young striker has, with him putting in a four-goal display against Arsenal on Tuesday, which also included three assists in a 9-0 win.
It would be hugely frustrating if Spurs could not persuade such a talent leave the club for free. Personally, I would rather see Griffiths named on our substitutes bench, rather than Fernando Llorente for the last four matches. We need to look towards the future, while in reality Llorente will leave this summer.
