Fulham striker: We’re up for Spurs match

Fulham forward Clint Dempsey admits that their FA Cup tie against Spurs will be a difficult test.

Roy Hodgson’s side made the short trip across to White Hart Lane tomorrow evening and insists that Fulham are up for the match.

“Any time you play a team like Spurs it’s going to be difficult, it doesn’t matter if they have injuries or not,” he told fulhamfc.com. “Everybody who’s selected will be up for this game. We’re playing away which has been tough for us sometimes but hopefully we can play well and get the result we need to get to the Semi-Final against Portsmouth.

“Losing to Manchester City was disappointing but that’s behind us now, we’re moving forward and we’ve got an important game on Wednesday so were just trying to focus on the next game and improve.

“It would be good to reach the FA Cup Semi-Final but we want to do more than just that. You don’t want to get one step closer to the Final and not go all the way. If you want to do something special in your career this is the opportunity to do that, hopefully we can take advantage of the opportunities that we have.”
