Tottenham Hotspur broken the deadlock at Turf Moor after just six minutes courtesy of a Harry Kane penalty.
The penalty was awarded after Dele Alli was brought down in the penalty area and Kane comfortably sent the keeper the wrong way to score his 19th goal of the season.
Burnley fans were upset at the decision as they felt that Dele should have been sent off minutes earlier for a strong tackle which saw him booked.
Harry Kane has now scored 34 Premier League goals in 2017, the only players to score more in a single calendar year within the Premier League are Alan Shearer (36 in 1995) and Robin van Persie (35 in 2011)
