Dier appeared but more pleasingly NKoudou put in a peach of a cross for the winner.

Match Summary

We didn’t expect a performance; we were just praying for the result. It was the result we got in the most dramatic final minute.

In the first half Tottenham were poor, disjointed and clumsy. 65% possession doesn’t count, fannying around forty yards from goal. Toothless we expected but chaotic at the back we didn’t. We weren’t organised for three at the back and corners particularly induced panic. The tell-tale sign was the lack of urgency, almost the indicator that the team expected it to happen, rather than have to make it happen.

There was a dramatic improvement after the break and suddenly it was Fulham being pressed and possession stats would have truly been a symptom of superiority. A goal, a lonely episode of class from our class players and then Winksy demonstrated his passion – he got the goal because he was committed and he ran when others would have been standing waiting for the whistle.

The most significant moment, however, may have been Dele’s injury. If that’s serious then now Spurs have to buy.
