Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 3-1 victory against Southampton.

The win at Wembley is enough to lift Tottenham back into the top four after Chelsea lost 2-1 at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal drew 2-2 at Manchester United.

Harry Kane got the home side off the mark after just nine minutes to score his seventh goal in his last six Premier League games against the Saints.

Two goals in the space of four minutes in the second half from Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son put the game beyond Southampton and help Spurs fans put some of the North London derby hurt behind them.

Charlie Austin pulled one back in injury time, but it was nothing more than a consolation. Frustratingly for Lloris, there was no clean sheet.
