A late goal from Christian Eriksen ten minutes from time has kept alive Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League hopes following a 1-0 win against Inter Milan at Wembley.

The result means that Spurs will qualify if they match Inter’s result against PSV Eindhoven on the final match day, Mauricio Pochettino’s side face the tough prospect of a trip to Barcelona.

Moussa Sissoko was the engineer of the goal, driving through a challenge on the right and getting into the area, he found Dele Alli in the middle, who had the awareness and composure to spin on it and tee up Eriksen on his shoulder. The Dane arrived at pace and lashed home, left-footed into the roof of the net to give the Spurs faithful hope.
