Gary Lineker and Piers Morgan involved in Spurs/Arsenal Twitter exchange

Gary Lineker and Piers Morgan have once again been involved in a exchange of words on Twitter involving Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

After Tottenham lost at home to West Ham yesterday, Arsenal-supporting Morgan wasted no time in mocking his North London rivals. However, his words came to haunt him today when Arsenal were on the receiving end of a 3-0 thumping at Leicester City.

Lineker, who played for Spurs between 1989-1992 made the most of the opportunity for some revenge with the loss keeping the Gunners four points behind Mauricio Pochettino’s side with just two games remaining.

Morgan certainly took the bait by snapping back with a claim in which he mocked Totteham’s title record during his lifetime.

Victory at Bournemouth next Saturday could all but ensure that Spurs finish above the Woolwich for the third season in a row and secure another Champions League campaign while they face the prospect of more Thursday night Europa League action.
