Gary Lineker’s latest Twitter post about Spurs will anger some Liverpool and Man City fans

If you follow Gary Lineker on Twitter, you will know that he is fond of some quick-witted and tongue in cheek Tweets.

The Match of the Day presenter has taken to the social network this evening to post a Tweet during the match between Manchester City and Liverpool to back his former side, Tottenham Hotspur for the title.

A raft of Spurs fans have replied to the former striker to applaud him for the Tweet.

While the media seen obsessed that the title race is purely between Liverpool and City, Spurs are still quietly going about their business and continue to pick up points, apart from the blip against Wolves.

Spurs have finished third, second and third in the last three seasons under Mauricio Pochettino. one man they will be turning to is Harry Kane, the star striker completed a full house of scoring at least once against Premier League rivals when he struck the first goal against Cardiff.
