Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has joined German club Hoffenheim on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Brazilian international has fallen well down the pecking at White Hart Lane behind Hugo Lloris and Brad Friedel. He found himself as fourth choice before Carlo Cudicini joined LA Galaxy and in the best interests of Gomes’ career the opportunity of regular first team football is what he needs.
At times he showed flashes of brilliance in between the Spurs sticks, but they were overshadowed by some massive mistakes.
He joined the club in 2008 and made 136 appearances.
