Graham Roberts believes transfer target is not in the same class as Spurs star

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts does not feel that Jack Grealish would be a suitable replacement for Christian Eriksen.

The Dane is out of contract at Spurs next summer and has been heavily linked with a move away from the club if a new deal cannot be agreed before the start of the next campaign, or they could risk losing him on a free transfer.

Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish was heavily linked with a move to North London during last summer’s window, but a move failed to materialise after the Championship outfit’s new owners decided that he was not for sale.

Eriksen’s form in the past few months has been disappointing at club level to say the very least, he has been lacking the trademark flair and creativity we have been so used to him showing in the final third of the pitch.

Roberts, however, believes that if Eriksen was to leave the club then Grealish would not be in the same class as a like for like replacement.

Here’s what he said on Twitter.
