Graham Roberts insists Spurs would not make move for player who would snub switch

Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has shared his view on any prospect of Jack Wilshere making the move to the white half of North London.

Wilshere came through the ranks at Arsenal’s academy and spent ten years as a part of the first-team set-up with the Gunners, making 198 total appearances in all competitions with the vast majority coming under Arsene Wenger (transfermarkt).

The former England international left West Ham United in the summer and is currently a free agent.

The midfielder was asked during an appearance on Sky Sports’ Super 6 podcast whether he would cross the divide and link up with Spurs if Jose Mourinho made an approach.

While he admitted his admiration for the Portuguese, he insisted that he would not be able to pull on the lilywhite shirt due to his previous loyalties.

Roberts took to Twitter to react and insisted that the feeling is mutual and Tottenham would never look to bring him to the club.
