Graham Roberts singles out three Spurs players for praise after Arsenal draw

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts praised three players on social media following the 1-1 draw with rivals Arsenal at Wembley.

Roberts took to Twitter to commend Moussa Sissoko, Harry Kane and Jan Vertonghen for their performances.

Sissoko, who has completely turned around his career st Spurs put in another industrial shift in the middle of midfield with his box to box energetic runs helping to create space for other players.

Harry Kane scored what proved to be a vital penalty to cancel out Aaron Ramsey’s first-half goal. Kane has now scored nine goals in nine Premier League north London derbies, eclipsing the eight scored by Emmanuel Adebayor.

While Kane may have got on the scoresheet, Jan Vertonghen’s last-ditch tackle was just as good as a goal.

After Hugo Lloris had saved Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s stoppage-time penalty, Vertonghen was first on the scene to get himself between the Arsenal player and the ball to stop him from scoring an almost certain tap-in.
