Graham Roberts takes to Twitter to question the actions of Spurs defender

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender has taken to Twitter to question the defensive strategy of Davinson Sanchez from set pieces.

The former Ajax player was named in Jose Mourinho’s first starting eleven for the trip to West Ham United alongside Toby Alderweireld after Jan Vertonghen failed to recover in time from a hamstring problem.

Tottenham cruised to a 2-0 lead by half time courtesy of goals from Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura. Shortly after the break, Harry Kane added a third with a well-taken header and it looked as if Mourinho’s men would cruise to victory.

Instead they invited West Ham to attack and when Angelo Ogbonna lost Davinson Sanchez inside the penalty area to fire home.

Following the match Roberts tried to give Sanchez some advice by suggesting his focuses on the ball rather than the oppsition player.

Thankfully, the goal came late enough that Spurs were able to see out the game and hold onto a 3-2 victory.
