Grealish bid incoming, player to tell Villa he wants to join Spurs

Jack Grealish will tell Aston Villa that he is still intent on a move to Tottenham Hotspur so he can fulfill a dream of playing in the Champions League, according to The Telegraph.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a potential move to Tottenham since the end of last season after Villa failed to regain promotion to the Premier League and have since found themselves in financial turmoil.

Their well-publicised money issues represented an opportunity for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to try and turn the screw on Villa’s reported £40 million valuation of Grealish, by offering in the region of £20 million. However, last week saw the Championship outfit the subject of a £55 million takeover by Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.

This investment has led to Steve Bruce publically state that Grealish will not be sold on the cheap, but Grealish apparently has his heart set on playing for Mauricio Pochettino, who he feels can help him break into the senior England squad.

Fulham are also keen on Grealish, but Tottenham remain favourites and are readying a formal offer this week.
